This may not be the last nine, but I've had soft spots for "Crazy Right Now" (New Vibrato...), "Whirl Away" (Plus Ultra), "Silver Stars Will Shine", "In the Chapel of Her Sparkles" (Private Cosmos) to name a few. Always some golden nuggets hidden amongst the onslaught! 😄

So many good tracks on this one: "Existentialism", "Glittering Star", "Elevated Railway", "Futura", "Before We Fall", "Big Empty Sky". Tracks that keep coming up on my "most played" playlist. Essential!

Ha, funny I was a kid when I heard/saw the Heaven and Hell album and my mom bought it for me (I was a Yes fan). It didn't make sense until several years later when I heard China and it all came together. Have been collecting anything with his stamp on it since then. We now have to live "after Vangelis" but with the many years of music since Forminx in the mid-sixties we have very little to complain about.

Nice post. I think that Bill's "fluttering" under the mainstream has given him longevity and, as you say, great musical adventures along the way. I think he would agree.

Instant classic on this one and not to be missed by any Bill-afficianado: "Memory Is A Data Cloud Forever Primed With Rain".

What about "Powertron"?

"Watching My Dream Boat Go Down in Flames" was an instant classic. But, hey, no-one is mentioning the free poster. That was a neat touch. I've always wondered who the model was.

Now that will put a smile on one's face!!

Ironically, just got thru listening to it before I read this post. Still holding up well! "Once Upon a River" (groovy drums!) and "When Art Schools Shaped Tomorrow" continue to be instant standouts. Agreed with all the above comments. Atmospheric with some great instrumental interludes (and ebow!).

OK, if I've said it once (or twice), I'll say it again, this is one of my all time favorites. Awesome guitar work and an absolute essential. Those who have not heard: get thee over to Bandcamp, ye shall not regret.

I always thought this one was a bit "trippy". Giving it another listen, it's a bit more melodic than first thought. Would hazard to say "essential"!

And no one is mentioning "Everyday feels like another new drug"? Geesh!

I always suggest "Signals From Realms of Light". Great guitar work in there. And, oddly enough "Blip! 2". Great mix of instrumental and vocal. My two cents!

Got my CD copy at Tower records when it came out. "Two Hearts Beating" was an instant fave. Drums sounding like galloping horses, always thought of them as "runaway drums", which sounds pretty vague trying to put in to words. Re-listening to it always brings back good memories.
