An incredible musician and a Buddhist. I saw him last year. He and Esperanza Spaulding wrote an opera and it was fabulous! He came out at the end to talk to the audience and received a standing ovation for 10 minutes. What a creative genius!
A giant in the jazz world, from his work with Miles Davis, Weather Report, and Joni Mitchell. He had the musical chops to play with anyone, and a tone to die for! RIP Wayne, your music lives on.
