Soapbox time again - Sara Sharif was yet one more of countless innocent children who was destroyed by those who should have adored and protected her, and to make things even worse, ( yes it is possible), there were those who, without conscience, knew and could have saved her, yet they couldn't be bothered - slimeballs.
Gisele Pelicot is truly remarkable, foregoing her right to anonimity in order to help others in her position - I feel that her noble and humane stance is truly wonderful.
Sara Sharifs' vile 'parents' have been sentenced - good, but this will not bring back their innocent child and, to all who knew, (authorities, neighbours) and who did nothingand should have saved her, have no soul and no conscience.
The worldwide attention drawn, rightly, to todays' verdicts regarding the horrors inflicted upon Gisele Pelicot may, perhaps, begin a long overdue discussion regarding the common habit of humans treating each other as objects, although I have my doubts as two internationally popular 'comedies' present the rape of adults and children as a source of 'humour'. which is supposed to represent an 'enlightened' stance - crap to that.
