Well, fellow redditors, I feel that, erm, a cringe L moment happened yesterday to say the least. While everyone was sad that the guy from smash mouth died or whatever, people didn't even notice that Gary Wright, also known as Gay Numan, had passed away yesterday on September the 4th, 2023. Though he was fairly obscure and my dad doesn't like him, he will always be known and remembered as an inspiration and as the gayest straight synth musician of the 70s, possibly ever. His music has changed the lives/hearts of countless people, with classics like Dream Weaver, best known for being included in the Wayne's World soundtrack. Additionally, his 1975 album, also coincidentally titled Dream Weaver, was created with the artistic intent to have no guitars, only synths! Fellow bassists, let's salute this outstanding creation. Bassists, assemble! Synthheads, unite! But regardless of your opinions on this guy, he has undoubtedly had a memorable impact on music, and will be remembered as such. Huzzah!
