I don't usually contribute to RIP threads, but he was a very funny man, and he himself or his scripts for others have made me laugh literally all through my life.
He will be sorely missed, but he has left us such a wonderful legacy.
The passing of a true comedy legend - his career was expansive, and his skill and recall as a raconteur was phenomenal.
Barry made a couple of records in the late 50's including a cover of Sheb Wooley's US #1 hit, this is the rare 78rpm R.I.P.
