Thank Christ for comedians, now that the BBC and most of the rest of the media have abdicated their responsibility to hold this government and its utter clown-show of a "leadership contest" to account.
First up, Frankie Boyle, who, when asked about the Tory leadership, comments on their incompetence: "Fascists are normally organised. We're going to be going to the death camps in a replacement bus service...". He adds that Theresa May only seemed better because she had no power; "All the authority of a 'do not tumble-dry' label"
Next, a comedian I hadn't heard of, Joe Lycett, who sparked angry front-page hysteria from the Daily Mail & Co simply by pretending to be rightwing on a serious BBC politics show.
Meanwhile, comedian Jonathan Pie has recorded a new video for the New York Times. Here's the link: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/05/opinion/liz-truss-prime-minister-inflation.html
