Approached by Paul McCartney to supply music for the soundtrack of Ringo's latest film, Badfinger recorded three new tracks with McCartney producing (and George Martin composing and arranging the strings on "Carry on Till Tomorrow". The rest of the LP was filled out with tracks from the bands Apple debut as The Iveys. The McCartney composition "Come and Get It" was an international Top 10 hit. I remember listening to it on the local AM pop station on a little clock radio- 55 years ago.! Ouch! A lightweight "Hello, Goodbye"-style pop confection but we thought everything the Beatles touched was magic back then.
