Surprised me when a Jon Hassell track was included in a soundtrack for a movie starring Jennifer Lopez called Angel Eyes, in 2001, but I watched it because I wanted to see and hear that combination. Been wondering about him these past few days. He tapped into something unique right from the beginning with ‘Verbal Equinox.’ Intriguing record covers as well, many by Mati Klarwein.
