Clint Eastwood turned 91 today.
Talk about cool!
This location was just over the hill from where we used to live. San Quentin prison is just down the road. It is now under a shopping center. Is nothing sacred?!!
Info over the location:
I had forgotten how it used to look. Of course that was 50 years ago now. And few years before I moved up there. I can't remember if the quarry buildings were still there in 1975.
I got a Facebook ban for posting this pic!
I saw that his stunt double, Buddy van Horn, died yesterday at 92!
Van Horn was credited as the stunt coordinator on Eastwood’s films from 1972 to 2011, including 1976’s The Enforcer, 1977’s The Gauntlet and 1983’s Sudden Impact. He also served as second unit director on Eastwood’s Magnum Force and The Rookie. As an actor, Van Horn’s most prominent onscreen appearance was as Marshal Jim Duncan in 1973’s High Plains Drifter.
Quite possibly my favourite movie star.
The amount of 'stuff' Clint has fitted into and achieved in his life is simply staggering..and his body of work, both in front of and behind the camera, is a wonderful legacy.
