Wow, can’t say I was a huge fan but Devil Went Down To Georgia was a classic that transcended country music and was a FM staple. I also like the thought of him hanging out with James Brown 😁
... and in looking at their respective Wikipedia entries, they had The Carolinas in common, with Charlie Daniels born in NC and James born in SC ... and they've got Georgia in common with James referring to Augusta as his hometown on more than one occasion.
