Maestro, (and others please feel free to chime in)
If I may indulge... I would be curious to know if you do your own set up
or if you employ a master technician to manage and adjust your guitar(s) set up, action, neck adjustments, pick-up swaps, ... and such
As a totally amateur player myself, I gained quite a bit of betterment in my playing having my guitars set up, almost curated so to speak(since I visit my guitar-guy quite often for changes and tweaks on the guitars)
I can attest that having one's guitar sound as perfect as it can get can be very inspiring musically.
Cheers and thanks for your recent releases
Sincerely
Thanks for the comments hmmm, the guy (who has done a great job) I take mine to has the same surname ... but is 8KM across the seas ... wonder if they're related ... :-)
For several years now my guitars have been adjusted and set up by Gordon White of Single Coil Guitar Repairs in Leeds. Gordon is a top notch guitar repair guy, highly competent and he always does a brilliant job. I've got my Isana Black Pearl archtop in his workshop at this very moment, having it set up to my liking.

hmmmm,
I'm quite happy to do basic guitar maintenance myself i.e.
change/replace strings, adjust bridge/string heights, intonation etc. Plus anything that doesn't require irreversible mods/changes. So changing machine heads, adding tremolos, replacing top nuts (with pre-cut ones), etc.
Anything else I would get to an experienced luthier to carry out i.e. truss rod adjustment, fret work, repairs, etc.
However, it's tricky to find a luthier you can trust ...
Apart from changing strings (on my more straight-forward guitars) I get my set-ups and servicing done by a trusted luthier in South Croydon.
