There was a second Ronson tribute event in Hull. Bill was supposed to be playing but had to pull out through illness I think. I remember Big Audio Dynamite and , I think possibly Steve Harley. and also a Japanese band called Yellow Monkey ? Magic Monkey ? or something similar who had flown a jet full of schoolgirls over from Japan with them. The girls went wild for 'their' band but stood stock still, silent and bemused for the rest of the acts. Strange Day. Can anyone recall any other acts that day ?
Thank you for sharing this. I'm tracking it down now.
Ziggy is one of my most often played LPs. I use it as an example to highlight why it's important to listen to complete albums over just picking out a song or two. My digital version of the LP is listed as two songs, Side 1 of 2 and, Side 2 of 2.
I did play with the remaining Spiders From Mars, (Trevor Boulder and Woody Woodmansey,) at The Mick Ronson Tribute Concert which was staged at the old Hammersmith Odeon venue in London, quite a few years ago now. Here's a photograph of the three of us taken at the after show party. Trevor sadly passed away a few years ago but Woody came to the launch party of 'Fantastic Guitars' when that album was released.
