@Alec I missed the Rotterdam bit. Scrolled too fast. We actually live in Haarlem. As for being 'woke' here, who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of mankind? (See how I did that? Changed 'men'to 'mankind'. Maybe I am 'woke' after all... not a chance!) In this newfangled digital age, you are not safe anywhere! 😨
@merikan1 thanks for reminding me of where the name Harlem comes from.
According to the Etymological Dictionary Haarlem means 'height' 'slit' ... the 'height' is in reference to the slight elevation on the Spaarne River, but what about the 'slit' part?
One of my favourites. I cannot recommend this one highly enough. to me, it encapsulates the core BN instrumental styles. It would make a great introduction if you are wanting to introduce someone the Bill's instrumental music.
And now, five years.
.
Make that three years.
.
The figure on the cover is the medium for the music itself (BN).
Figure appears to be dancing for the listener on some tracks and spooking the listener, always urging the listener into creative states.
Elizabeth with electric guitar as drenched-in-florid-psychedelia muse.
Drenched-in-florid-psychedelia Futurist dancers are the tracks themselves.
Well-stated. Listening. I remember now this one was all I listened to for a few days after it appeared. Love that cover art.

Wow, two years ago already? Unreal. Yet another great one!
