Another musical layer revealed...
Just when you THINK have everything covered regarding the musical canon of Bill
Up comes an artefact which on one hand excites the possibilities and the other hand how far into the project before it was shelved/abandoned? or realised but never released officially...
Talking about post chimera june 1983 project installation ''Music For Vikings'' inspired by the Jorvik Experience in York, the piece i read and was publicised in Record Mirror Saturday June 18th 1983
Quote '' He (Bill) is about to commence a very ambitious project with the New Viking Museum In York (Yorvik), where he will compose a sound track based on background noise
for what is to be Britain's first total experience museum.
Am i the last to know or is this project very much common Knowledge?
It will be interesting hearing the story of this when it comes to light. Personally we went to York a couple of years ago. We stayed outside and caught a bus into the city. Now I recall seeing the queues outside the Viking experience (I think) as we wandered around the city and walked it’s wall. We plan to go again soon as well as the Yorkshire Sculpture Park close to Wakefield. Yorkshire is indeed God’s country but naturally he works in Lancashire.
