Yukihiro Takahashi, drummer and lead singer of electronic music pioneers Yellow Magic Orchestra, has died aged 70.

Ever since I saw YMO at Hammersmith Odeon in 1980, I was a big fan and collected most of the YMO and solo LPs.
Yuki's all had great pop hits on them - he had a terrific voice!
"Disposable Love" is a favourite of mine.
Such a solid, distinctive drum beat and such a funky feel in everything he played on.
RIP.
