I've been called lots of names over the years but never a royal prick! I am the YouTuber who posted the OGWT footage back in May. It WAS a complete coincidence as I was unaware at the time that the box set was due for release at the end of August. I love the performance (with Annie's extra bit at the end - not included in the box set!) but will of course delete it if Bill or the BBC want me to do so. The box set is fantastic with the 2022 mix a particular favorite of mine.
You are a star. Well done, don’t be concerned about previous comments from “doubters“. Glad you did it. I bought two copies of the box set. Wonderful job!
No I don’t think a copy was made🙄. However, a true fan will support the artist through thick and thin. I have been an avid supporter since the mid seventies and will continue to do so whatever. My point being it was nice to see the recording as, to me, it was the holy grail. There is never a good time for many things, that is life unfortunately …
Look closely. Many of those OGWT posts date back to 2018 and earlier.
All of the bonus live recordings released as part of the new boxsets have been around for decades as freely available bootlegs. People were just sharing the music they love. Most were not trying to profit from it.
And to answer your question: No. Nothing is sacred anymore. 😀
I'm well aware of the content available on YouTube .... its the timing of this that is of concern to me ... over the years it was known (within this community) that Bill had a DVD of these performances which he would play at his Nelsonica and live events ...someone stole the DVD and then returned it ...and of course they didn't make a copy 😉 ....and here we are in 2022 on the edge of a major retrospective being released and voila the video appears .... of course this could all be innocent and bad timing ..... but ultimately for me the attitude of our wants being more important than the Artists rights reveals another level of 21st century thinking where my wants are paramount .... entitlement
Just as an addition to Red Noise material available, not only the YouTube video but if you dig hard enough there’s BBC in Concert and demos too. These have been around for a few years!
Been 43 years waiting for this with originally only an audio version. I will buy the Red Noise expanded edition when it finally gets released by Cherry Red. Unfortunately we live in a new era of technology, etc. Steve has his view and I have mine. Well done Mr. YouTube who released it. Bring on more…👍
Amazing that this was put on Youtube just prior to the major boxset release by cherry red records ...whoever did it is a royal prick in my opinion ....is nothing sacred anymore? people appear to have forgotten that some things aren't ours to do with as we please .... 😥

How very true. Thank you.
Oh, the humanity.....
