Hello chums. Catching up on this superb album after many years away. Had FORGOTTEN, my bad!, that Bill plays on 3 of the 13 tracks, and his playing, credited as "Bill Nelson – blue guitar" on Blackcrow Hits Shoe Shine City, is really beautiful IMHO. Find that track here.
Stay safe and well!
best wishes to all,
Toby
It's a unique listening experience, notably with the textures they used. Not sure if I can think of many albums its particular tones. I don't think any of the ex-Japan guys used those sounds in that way before or since.
It's a unique album. I believe all the former members of Japan said something to the effect of it's the group effort they most want to listen to. Another point is that it seems to have started in 1987 when Mick was working on Dreams of Reason Produce Monsters and he and David started hanging out again and eventually collaborating on tracks on that album.
