There may have been a dedicated post uploaded about this subject but I can't find one so I'll try to explain what happened:
Those who subscribed to a live stream of my 'Old Haunts' launch party in Leeds yesterday will have inexplicably seen a blank screen. Please accept our apologies for this. I personally wasn't informed that there was a problem until after the event was over but the fault was not caused by the Dreamsville/Nelsonica staff or myself. It was entirely due to the Clothworker's Hall technical staff who seem to have screwed the whole thing up big time.
To say I was annoyed and upset by this would be an understatement, but there was nothing I, nor anyone else on the Nelsonica team, could do about it. We were entirely in the hands of the venue's technical staff whose job was to hook the event up to the streaming distribution company. They let us down spectaculary, along with those who wanted to watch the live stream. I must stress again that the failure was in no way connected with ourselves. I'm just as disappointed as everyone else.
Nevertheless, the event was filmed and we will attempt to edit this into a useable form and make it available to all those who paid to watch the live stream.
I'll post more information as I get it from Paul and Jon and let you know what's happening. Meanwhile, apologies again. This was something completely out of our hands and not at all what we were expecting to happen. I'm very, very sorry....
Thanks, Bill, and it's ok. I wasn't able to watch it Saturday morning...or all weekend for that matter. Looking forward to it though. Thinking of you and your family with good vibes.
Thanks for the update Bill, look forward to seeing the recording. Normally would have been there, maybe next time. Cheers Alec

As a gesture of good will could the techno staff who cocked up put it on to Dvd for all attendees and paying fans send out a Dvd of the event at the cost of the technos they should pay out of their own pockets who spoiled the night for every one, it is only way of correcting their mistake
……...they could do that - but it would probably bankrupt The Clothworkers and cause all sorts of problems for Bill's possible future performances...…..this stresses Bill out as much as anyone else, and he's got enough on his plate at the moment - so let's just accept the situation with a sympathetic eye on the whole thing considering his circumstances as they are...…..
Waited for the event, logged in and viewed the blank screen. Bobby said he would email with his news why the performance was late (no email arrived). Eventually a message appeared that the event had ended. Evening over!
Had considered travelling to Leeds but could not find how to buy tickets until tickets had been sold already!

Glad to learn it was filmed and will be made available. Techno problems arise at the most inconvenient times. Keep well. Cheers

Looking forward to it.
Don't spend too much time on editing it! After all, you were happy for it to go out absolutely live.
What a shame, as it seemed the Clothworker's Hall was such a good venue (at least up to last year's great success, when the streaming worked!) so I'm sure it was a great disappointment for all of us waiting patiently at home. Looking forward to seeing the video someday soon then ...
I couldn't afford to buy the stream, but I did pre-order the Old Haunts CD. I spent Saturday listening to Duplex and Golden Melodies of Tomorrow, which are both brilliant albums; the latter being a grower not a shower.
Thank you for the explanation. I couldn't attend the live event (I live in Los Angeles) and was looking forward to a Saturday morning of new Bill Nelson material. But technical problems do happen. So now looking forward to the filmed version and waiting in anticipation for the new cd to arrive. Be well William and keep those creative juices flowing.
Thanks for letting us know Bill. Definitely appreciate the information. Looking forward to seeing the performance! Hope you can relax some now and blessings to your mother.
Thanks Bill. Looking forward to seeing your performance.
By the way, Bill. I hope your potential cold stayed dormant & that you were feeling good during the concert. You deserved to have an enjoyable time for your performance. Not fun with a cold.

Disappointing, yes. I know the Nelsonic Team was not to blame. I am frustrated as most of the appeal of the simulcast is that viewers are participating in the experience. We are with everyone in “the moment”. Good that the filming of the event went well, but watching later really isn’t the same thing. At least for me.
Last year’s event went well & it was a total rush knowing that I was seeing you perform along with everyone there. It was special.
I’ve never been keen on watching videos of live events after the fact (other than the Metropolis event). Once last year’s performance was over, I did not watch the replay even though it was available to us.
Will consider things when the video is available, but for me, it just won’t be the same as actually seeing it live. Yes, this is my issue. Totally.

Thanks for the explanation Bill. Aaagh what a pain, but nevermind. Your show was SUPERB, full of magic and I do hope a vid can be made for those who weren't there. Cheers!
Not your fault, unfortunate but these things happen.I did attend and what a brilliant evening it was your playing and chat was spot on👍🏼.And I look forward to watching the live concert when it is available.Well done and see you next year??😉
No need to apologise, Bill.
Thank you for letting us know.
Looking forward to experiencing the recording whenever it becomes available. :)
