Her's a blast from the past:. 'Live It Up' was a corny but curious film about kids trying to make it in the pop business back in 1963. It stars a very young David Hemmings alongside an even younger Steve Marriot and Mitch Mitchell. It has appearances by several Joe Meek produced acts of the day including Heinz, Sounds Incorporated and The Outlaws, (featuring a pre-Deep Purple Richie Blackmoor.) Interesting to watch Steve Marriot and Mitch Mitchell doing their child actor thing, a few years before their ultimate fame with The Small Faces and Jimi Hendrix. The whole film is available to watch on you tube. Hemmings, Marriot and Mitchell have all passed away of course, which makes the film even more nostalgic.
