Jean Cocteau and the group of six - Excerpt from the Comic Operetta Les Maries De La Tour Eiffel. In 1920s Paris, the Group of Six were enjoying a certain amount of notoriety. They were an ensemble of talented musicians, responsible for many innovative and charismatic performances, particularly at La Salle Huyghens in Montparnasse. At least five of them got together with Jean Cocteau to create this spectacular.
This sequence was put together from material salvaged from a clearout of the library at the Institute Francais in Glasgow some years ago.
