For the past 3-4 weeks I’ve been listening to all the BN stuff released over his entire career (yes I know!) and am currently on the albums and oddities released in 2008. It’s revealing some great material that lies below the surface that I may have played just a few times when released before moving on.
I recall when SF, IAD and MK came out not fully connecting with at least 2 of them that much. IAD was my favourite of the three. But listening again (on shuffle with the likes of Clocks and Dials and Golden Melodies of Tomorrow) they have all made a bigger impression. I think I prefer Bill’s music when it’s a mixture of various styles and moods rather than full albums of one type of style.
