For the past 3-4 weeks I’ve been listening to all the BN stuff released over his entire career (yes I know!) and am currently on the albums and oddities released in 2008. It’s revealing some great material that lies below the surface that I may have played just a few times when released before moving on.
I recall when SF, IAD and MK came out not fully connecting with at least 2 of them that much. IAD was my favourite of the three. But listening again (on shuffle with the likes of Clocks and Dials and Golden Melodies of Tomorrow) they have all made a bigger impression. I think I prefer Bill’s music when it’s a mixture of various styles and moods rather than full albums of one type of style.
A complete coincidence but last week I plucked out these 2 and Mazda K off my cd shelves to reacquaint myself and play the 3 in order, as advised.
Currently I have on "No memories here to make you sad" from Illuminated At Dusk. My mind has drifted to an image of driving solo through the Mid West, pulling over on the roadside, one arm resting on the door frame and taking in a view of some largely uninhabited landscape. No idea where I am but I sense I have about an hour before finding a nice bar and motel to stay, chatting to some locals and then heading on the next day after a pancake stack with eggs, bacon and maple syrup.
I’ve never been able to “get” Silvertone Fountains, just never clicked with me, I think the blue cover puts me in the wrong frame of mind for some reason. Although I always play one track on a specific day.

Thank you, Wadcorp 👍
Your annual reminder that these two were released simultaneously in 2008.

Funny ... I think of it as a silver cover, but I know what you mean about a colour not matching where the music goes!
The one that drew me in one day was track #6, Slow Clouds. Really so nice and it "introduced" me to the rest of the tracks.

Totally agree. Top shelf releases.
Without doubt top notch and I'd plum forgotten they were both released the same day. 😊
