Just ordered an Astroluxe Cadet. Left hand. I'm very very excited!! I play leftie, and this will be a treasured possession forever.🎸❤️ Hope to get it soon!
Ironically, when I tried to get a red Backlund Rockerbox in a 50% off flash sale, they only had that colour in the US and wanted an extra $150 to ship it over (they did offer to go half and half with me), so I decided to go with the blue version which they still had in Liverpool.
I got a replacement scratch plate for my Supro White Holiday couriered from the States to the UK last year. It spent five days touring the US east coast before crossing the Atlantic. According to the tracker, one day it took a circular route and ended up in the same town.
I'm located in MD (not too far from Philly). Usually, when i order from Eastwood, the guitars ship from the Chicago area. I haven't received notification yet of it being shipped.
Well, even though I'm in the Philadelphia area the guitar is shipping from Liverpool. At first it started heading towards Leeds! So it just traveled near Bill's neck of the woods, but then flew to London. I guess it will fly from there to Philly. Fed-Ex says expect it Monday. Yea!
Don't know if you've had a Duesenberg trem before, but I found the first time I fitted and tightened it on my Backlund 100 DLX, it came loose after a couple of days, so if you're going to be using it in a gig setting, I'd make sure it's tightened to the max on the night. Nothing more embarrassing than going for a divebomb and having the tremolo arm come out in your hand!
I've gone with the Duesenberg tremolo system. You do have to 'screw' it in with an Allen key, but I find it more comfortable to use than the Bigsby option and you have the option of the angle at which the arm sits.
No, I saw this on sale on their website and snapped it up. Will probably have one installed eventually. Anxiously waiting for the shipping notification!
Congrats, Steve. Worth the wait.
aaand here it is! Sounds great.

Looks like mine is coming from Liverpool too.
Weee! Over the ocean she goes!

In negotiations now w/ Eastwood. Hoping to close the deal soon. Also going to go with the Duesenberg Les Trem.

Conversely, I just took delivery of the right handed version, even though I'm left-handed! Did you get one of the tremolo versions?
