Haven't heard from Bill on the Journal for quite sometime. Hoping all is improving with the transition from the Mackie platform to Cubase.
Fingers crossed that all is as well as can be health wise.
These two recent releases are stellar. Can't stop playing them. Super excited about whatever is next.
Glad to hear that Bill has been absent due to preparations for the upcoming launch and not health issues as I had feared. I guess that we will find out in a few weeks what he has been up to 😊
Thanks for that, Westdeep. I thought he was probably busy with the album launch event, but it's nice to have that verified. I'm not usually one to panic, but I was a little concerned.
I wish I could attend the event. I'll definitely buy the CD once it's available.
Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the latest two CD's, which I've had on constant rotation since their release.
Bill posted this on Friday...hope this is OK with Bill to repost here...
Bill Nelson Incredibly busy with preparations for the November 9th live event. Recording some new backing tracks, creating videos to show behind the album launch playback, decorating a guitar for a charity auction, also making several pieces of artwork for the merch stall. Have yet to choose which numbers to perform, sort out which guitars go with each number, write out set lists, prepare listening notes for the 'Old Haunts' album playback and start to drag downstairs all the various flight cases which contain the equipment I need for the live performance element of the event. It's full-on intensity at the moment and will stay that way until the 9th (which is only a few short weeks away.) So, no time for anything else. It's panic time!
I have a Facebook account, but have seldom used it, so I may be doing something wrong, but it appears to me that Bill hasn't posted on Facebook since June 4. Am I completely mistaken?
There seem to be a few Bill Nelson Facebook accounts, so I may be looking at the wrong one.
Bill has every right to his privacy, but it is a little unnerving, since we've gotten used to hearing from him on an almost daily basis. Along with everyone else, I just hope all is well.
Many thanks for confirming Westdeep.
I must confess to being both relieved and sad. Relieved for obvious reasons but also a bit sad it was necessary to ask the question - after around 6-7 weeks of wondering why we’ve had no updates here at Dreamsville.
But pleased I checked now and the main thing is that Bill is okay & out there working on future sonic delights for us. I’m registered here (as well as with Burning Shed) and get the email updates regarding new releases, downloads etc. so guess I’ll just have to wait for them, rather than checking in here for regular journal updates from Bill as to what’s going on in his life.
Yes, Bill is active on Facebook. No need to worry.
Personally I’m not registered with and don’t use Facebook but I’d be grateful if someone who is one of Bill’s Facebook ‘friends’ can confirm whether he’s also been absent from there as well as Dreamsville for many weeks now?
I don’t want to feel a bit of a chump getting concerned about not hearing anything from Bill here at Dreamsville only to find out he’s communicating with fellow Nelsonians elsewhere on the internet.
Coming up on seven weeks without a word. :/
It is worrying though, all it would take is a " hello, all is well" to alleviate our fears. Maybe he's just forgotten his journal password.
I concur!
I hope all is well in Dreamshire …….
Yes, I've been wondering for a few days why we haven't seen anything of Bill on the forum for quite some time, no input at all...I had a funny feeling that all wasn't well, but I so hope that is not the case and that maybe he is tied up with the studio transition or other artistic related ventures, even jobs around the house and general property maintenance can take up an inordinate amount of time, especially as we get that bit older.
So, as Lee says, hope all is well Bill, and I too am enjoying your latest releases very much indeed!
