Happy Birthday Bill, from me and my late Mother. As you know she passed away a couple of years ago aged 93 and she was a very big fan of yours since around 1975 or so, when she would have been 50 years old...so she was a long time fan, right to the end, not bad eh?..I remember she listened to and thoroughly enjoyed "Stereo Star Maps", around her 93rd birthday...and I know she would be standing beside me right now saying, "Don't forget to wish Bill a Happy Birthday from me!"...So, there it is "Happy Birthday Bill and Many Happy Returns!"
P.S. Hope your Mum's getting better, day by day..It's a slow process, but people of that generation most definitely have a determination, resolve and fighting spirit, so all the best.
Happy birthday, Bill! I'll be playing lots of your music today to celebrate. It has been the soundtrack of my life, and has brought me countless wonders and hours of pleasure. I hope that you have a fantastic day, filled with love, music and happiness.
I'm so glad you're still with us.The mass exodus of talent( in these times)has been hard to bear. I can't really thank you enough for those couple of albums you've made, in the last 50 years.Seriously though, I for one am very proud to stand as one of your biggest fans. I found out about Be Bop in '74 & have been on board since then ( 99 albums later ). And So It Goes.......
Thanks Tom, I'm 71 tomorrow, (the 18th,) and can't get my head around it as I feel no older than 30 in my head...at least in some ways. Physically of course, the years are ever present, but I'll be damned if my mind will succumb to that 'old guy' crap. I still think of myself as a liberal, progressive, experimental kind of musician, open to anything and everything. No borders, boundaries or limits. I'm certainly not a boring old Conservative supporter like so many of my decrepit Northern compadres!
Hey Bill, You have such a great attitude 'bout this aging thing. May ye enjoy this birthday to the fullest. Cheers!!

Thank you for the one, long magical album you’ve shared with us since ‘71.
A very Happy B’day to Our Man Bill. Best wishes to you for a great day, and a wonderful year ahead.
Thank you for all the music. Unlike Tom, I came late to the game, finding Be Bop Deluxe in 1978. But I’ve been on board for the ride ever since.
And what a great ride.
Cheers to you, Bill!
