‘I watched all the DD bonus features. I like them more than the movie itself. There's a making-of shot at the time that has Bill Nelson in the studio recording some of the music. It's cool. Thanks again.’
I sent Blu as a gift to a friend for his birthday and I haven’t watched it yet. His review….
‘I watch DD last night. The music lighting and cinematography are the best things. The music's very impressive. I like the fact that it doesn't sound much like his music. He was really trying to do a soundtrack. I only heard a little guitar maybe some Morricone single note fuzz. Good stuff. I've always liked the actress who plays the American in it. The movie drags a lot but it was still an enjoyable watch thanks.’
"Newly-filmed interview with composer Bill Nelson".
I remember watching - and enjoying - this film when it was released. The fine actors, Timothy Spall & Jemma Redgrave, appeared in it. There was a climactic set piece in the film which I recall was dramatised to great effect by Bill's soundtrack.
I always thought the song "My Dream Demon" would have been ideal to play over the credits at the end of the film (I still have that song on its original vinyl somewhere).
He continued today….
