“It’s like stepping in the world of kaleidoscopes…”
The Mori Building Digital Art Museum in Tokyo, Japan is the first of its kind. An artist’s paradise and a photographer’s fulfilment.
Created by a talented group of artists and scientists, the place speaks wonders. Mostly because of its technicolour innovations. Imagine stepping into space where you are surrounded by art everywhere. No boundaries, no time constraints. Just you with the freedom to explore.
Perhaps, this was the vision that teamLabs founders thought of whilst creating this concept.
Famously called as Borderless, the exhibit in its literal sense, is without any boundaries.

A place where individuals can move around, wander and communicate with each other.
Moreover, it’s not only about aesthetics. teamLabs Borderless has strategically planned the area for people to experience. Spread across 10,000 square metres, the place is full of multidimensional elements.
Besides, this digital art museum is slowly gaining popularity worldwide. It has already attracted a few people since its launch in 2018. Located in the Odaiba, Tokyo; the museum is controlled by over 470 projectors and 520 computers.
You’d be surprised to know how one can interact with the art display. As well as touch the graphics or add your own artworks on-the-go.
The museum is full of colours, incredible lighting and much more.
In fact. there is an actual map. One can visit the same room without notice. Apparently, because the artwork keeps changing. Likewise, you can experience multiple environments all at once.
It ain’t called borderless for nothing. The art literally moves freely. Almost like transcending into the world of fantasy.
For instance, The Forest of Resonating Lamps is a room where you can relive the experience of Rapunzel. Just like in the animated movie, where she dances as the lanterns fly high in the sky. The best part, gorgeous lamps are colour changing.

Another room that counts as a top attraction is the Crystal World. Besides, this room is an Instagram lover’s dream come true.

Moreover, the variety of digital art presented is not limited to adults only.
There is a specific room for kids to play in. Not to mention, a trampoline room where you can jump around freely. Sounds interesting, indeed!

Although, the major museum is set up in Tokyo. teamLabs is expanding its reach. Exhibitions are arranged in and beyond Japan. It’s about time we see something like this in India.
Nonetheless, do visit this place if Tokyo is on your travel list.
It certainly does look fascinating and I do hope an exhibition can find it's way somewhere to these shores in the not too distant future.
i wish the world would be borderless, for we are not chained!!!!
Looks incredible.
Wow!
