I'm in a new incarnation now as Count Vlad. It's been a long time since I've visited this site. I hope Bill is well and I offer this original piece called "Guitar Boy" as a tribute to Bill's inimitable style. I like the look of the new site -- congrats!
"Meetings with people who exist in a twilight realm between real and unreal, love lost and love found, a beautiful kind of decay..." that's me. An OLD HAUNT. But there is little meeting going on this board. I should say my decay has been beautiful for a 64 year old man, age has not taken too big of a toll -- I almost feel like Mr. Darcy from Jane Eyre's book "Pride and Prejudice." I will leave you with a video of me doing a haunting Neil Young song.
What happened to Dar? Is he still around with a new name? I saw a profile called Geetar Homer, that kinda be the name he'd go for. I should tell a story about my tribute piece to Bill. It comes from a older part of my collection -- probably something I did in the 90s. One day I was listening to my compositions and thought what is this Bill Nelson piece doing in with my originals? I decide to check it out and low and behold it was one of mine. Caught me off guard, which is a nice compliment. I used a Zoom processor which contributed tremendously to overall "Billness" of it. Ritchie Kotzen also use to endorse Zoom but I never heard the Zoom sound in his sound. The stuff I do as Count Vlad comes from a Roland SE 50 guitar processor.
