Thanks for sharing the broadcast. Pity that as usual most time concentrated on early years as the Sonoluxe series and all output since 2005 is really fascinating.

That's very true, I'm afraid...just dipping into the Be Bop Deluxe era is like scraping the the surface of a very large iceberg. Well over 40 years ago now and hardly reflective of all the music that I've made since. Of course, my current work hasn't had the kind of publicity that the major labels can bring to the table. It relies on its own merits and word of mouth.

Nevertheless, the music I make now is passionate and from the heart and mind and, I hope, relevant. It reflects the years of experience and depth of feeling that I've accumulated. It attempts to covey the emotional life experience of a mature adult, with all the bitter-sweet and melancholy observations of my time as a human being, something which other's share perhaps. I hope that it is a music for now, not a desperate 'cash-cow' recreation of the past, but a timeless timeline of my own life and musical adventuring. Personal, idiosyncratic.

For better or worse, it doesn't give a damn for commercial considerations or demands. It is stubbornly defiant in its desire to remain itself in the face of conformity.
