I received an e-mail overnight from Bandcamp in which they advise that
this Friday they are waving their revenue share of any purchases for
24 hours for the benefit of the artists. Good opportunity to buy some
of Bill's music missing from your collection, and benefit Bill more than
usual !
These are the things that make Bancamp worth supporting.
It's that time again kids...Bandcamp Friday 03 september
I went shopping too.
Guitars on Drugs - discography (was only .65 gbp. I paid a whole 2gbp 😀). 7 releases. I really only wanted two of them but it was so cheap. Maybe I will grow to like the others.
The Sun and The Mirror - Dissolution to Salt and Bone
The Limit - Caveman Logic
Without God - Circus freaks
Amigo the Devil - Volume 1, Everything is Fine
Still have a couple of thing in my 'maybe?' folder. There is always next month.
While hunting for several songs that I was hoping to buy on Bandcamp Friday, I came across several suitable ones. So I made a list.
First was a soundtrack to a movie that I have not seen, but have the album of music from the movie. So this was just Ben Gibbard doing his contribution along with Steve Fisk, both Seattle area almost icons. The movie: About A Boy is the story of Kurt Cobain, an actual icon.
Then I dove into a CARDWELL theme.
DC Cardwell - Launceston, Australia
Jeb Cardwell - Melbourne, Australia
Sean Cardwell - Weymouth, UK
Ray Cardwell - Nashville, TN
Chris Cardwell - Kansas City, MO
Busted Cluster - Ypsilanti, Michigan, Indoor Voices, featuring the song: Cardwell
Ralph Lycett Tyrrell - Coming to find Queensland 2, featuring the song: Cardwell.
I have DC as well as Marjorie Cardwell's prior offerings. They graciously autographed them. Australia is even slower mail than the UK.
And not to let a good theme go to waste, the plan is to download them onto a data stick and play them in the car. I will pause the All Bill - All the Time soundtrack while he packages up the latest opus.
I bought 6 albums and 3 EPs. I'd been waiting for a couple of weeks for most of them so I could buy them on Friday.
Today is Bandcamp Friday again.
Have at it, fellows.
Today I picked up:
I buy music off Bandcamp several times a month, and it's always my first port of call for any band that I want to hear more of. The only discs I've bought during the last year was the recent Focus boxed set, because it was not likely to be available as a download. I do not have the storage space for big boxed sets, which means I've missed out on the BBD boxed sets after 'SF'. I'm not an artwork/packaging junkie, so I only need the best quality music files. It would be nice if Esoteric/CherryRed would consider download purchases too. Anyway, here's to the next few Bandcamp Fridays, and Bill's continuing releases.
It's (almost) BANDCAMP FRIDAY again. Friday 5 February is a Bandcamp Friday.
If you are planning on buying anything from Bandcamp...say from Bill Nelson?... then this Friday is the day to do it.
We need to support our favorite artists in these tough times!
It's BANDCAMP FRIDAY again.

It's almost that time again...Do you have And We Fell Into A Dream yet?
Bandcamp Fridays 2020 Calendar:
October 2, 2020
November 6, 2020
December 4, 2020
All from midnight to midnight Pacific time. For time zone demystification, check out: http://isitbandcampfriday.com/
Great. I have a couple of friends who have released albums, so I can give them maximum income.
Does anyone know if Bandcamp are continuing to wave their commission next Friday?
I cannot find Elliot's album.
Just a reminder. It is again a Bandcamp Friday. If you are thinking of buying Elliot's or Bill's latest, today is the day!
Just remember that it is based on midnight to midnight California time

I bought a few things too. Actually, I ended up buying the Hypnotic Dirge label discography. There are enough good releases there (a few that I already have) that I wanted, that it was just cheaper to buy the lot. Asking was only 25 cad. I paid 45 cad. Still a bargain. That was 103 releases. It took a quite while to download them. Especially as flac. Now I have to spend some time listening to them all and getting the ones that I like into rotation.
Made a couple of purchases.

Don't forget kids! This Friday, 5 June, Bandcamp is once again giving all proceeds to the Artist. So, if you have been saving your pennies for one of Bill's or another artists releases then this Friday is the day to break open that piggy-bank.
It might not be ready in time, but I’m HOPING the next Bandcamp re-release will be ready on Friday to coincide with the royalty waiver. Fingers crossed! 😬
I quite agree, Andre.
In fact, there are due to be three of these days coming up: this Friday (May 1st), first Friday of June (June 5th) and first Friday of July (July 3rd). First Friday of the month is the time to stock up on your Nelsonic sounds, folks!
