Savoring the Sunburst Finish, Futurama, and Modern Music boxes sustained my appetite for BBD nostalgia through 2019. But, well, we are knee deep in 2020 now and I hope it is not too gluttonous of me to start to hanker for another portion. Any thoughts, rumors, conjecture, or petitions to sign?

From the latest Dreamsville email newsletter: "There are whispers in the hills that the good people at Esoteric Recordings have put together a nice collection for a re-mastered Quit Dreaming And Get On The Beam box set...keep your eyes peeled for more news about this over the coming weeks!"
The timing makes sense, as I finally tracked down a 2005 Quit Dreaming CD a few weeks ago. 🙄
It's got the long-awaited Decca demos on it, ordered immediately!
Axe Victim available to order on Cherry Red now £49.99 + P&P, release is June. They should do LITA as it formed part of the CD set when they were first released on CD and the case spine spelt out Be Bop Deluxe as I recall.
Live! In the Air Age. Is at the top of my list. Just because it is a live album does not preclude the idea of an immersive audio experience for the 5.1 mix.
Received from Cherry red today
“The next album out will be Axe Victim however at the moment I am unsure what will follow, please do keep an eye out on the website for this. I can confirm that each album will be revisited in Deluxe form, including Red Noise” Kind regards, Jenny
I'd love to see both Drastic Plastic & Red Noise's Sound On Sound get the box set treatment. If there's enough interesting material for an Axe Victim box that would be great as well. The 1st 3 box sets are all excellent.
I have no idea if anything is planned. But of the remaining two studio albums, Drastic Plastic is surely the more likely candidate for the box set treatment. Plenty of additional studio material - that ended up on the The Best Of And The Rest Of... - and plenty of live audio and video material.
Though a pristine tape of a show from about the time that BBD signed with EMI - if such a thing existed - would be a welcome addition to Axe Victim!
Not to mention Red Noise...
