This was found at a junk shop some years ago...it was actually playable then and worked well as an acoustic slide guitar, but since then the tailpiece anchoring the strings broke off beyond repair and the bridge got lost. One of these days though, I'll paint some designs on it and turn it into an art piece. - Bill Nelson

Bought for a cup of tea in 60's art school I can't recall the fellow art student who gave me the old resonator guitar, but it was in return for a cup of tea and nothing more. It was completely unplayable, with chunks missing from the fretboard, broken tuners, no bridge or strings, cracks in the top and a dark brown, heavily varnished finish that was peeling away from the body. But I liked the style of it and set to painting it in a sort of psychedelic flower pattern, (though I never finished it and to this day the back and part of its side is still the original brown colour.) And yes, I do still own it, a nice souvenir of my 1960s art school days. - Bill Nelson
