SOUND ON SOUND magazine has partnered with BT and is now offering site visitors the means to buy and download a growing range of articles — individual TUTORIALS, musician/artist/producer/engineer INTERVIEWS plus SOS's respected in-depth, hands-on PRODUCT TESTS — utilising BT's secure Click&Buy micropayment service.

Each Portable Document Format (PDF) article has the exact same styling and page layout as the equivalent print article that appears in our monthly UK magazine but with the major benefit of fast, full-text searching and zooming of images (when opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader) — just like the article files on our ever-popular, Back Issue CD ROM annual compilation discs.

How much do articles cost?

Most magazine PDF articles are currently priced at 99 pence each (approx US$ 1.80) and billing is always in Sterling GBP. If outside the UK, the price will be converted by your credit card company at the prevailing exchange rate at the time they process the transaction.

To open a BT Click&Buy online account, spend a few minutes
registering your personal details on the secure BT site:
www.btclickandbuy.com

How it works...

Firstly, you will need to register/open an online account on the dedicated BT Click&Buy site (not necessary if you already have one). You only ever need do this once, and then you can surf and buy items from 1000s of other sites too.

  • Whenever you want to buy downloadable PDF articles from SOUND ON SOUND, click on the red Click & Buy PDF links shown at the top of our web article page. When clicking on locked eSub articles in our monthly In This Issue contents page, you will be offered the opportunity to buy a PDF version or sign up for a web-only subscription. Alternatively, check/select the PDF search option in our Search engine to locate BT Click&Buy downloadable articles.
  • Your browser will be redirected to the BT site where you enter your unique BT Click&Buy Username and Password. One click of the "Buy" button will save the PDF file onto your computer's desktop (some files can be a few Megabytes in size). Double-click the PDF file to open and start reading, or print out the pages — it's that easy!
